Welcome to the Skin of Colour Training UK Meeting 2023
We are delighted to welcome you to the 3rd instalment of the Skin of Colour Training Day which will be taking place virtually once again.
As is customary, we tailor the content of our meetings to map the Dermatology Training Syllabus as well as your feedback from previous meetings; so please keep telling us what you would like to see!
The Skin of Colour Training (SOCT) UK meeting is now on the Health Education England’s list of approved courses and may be covered by your study budget.
As with the January 2022 meeting, it spans the last Thursday and Friday in January but we’ve added live workshops and are especially pleased to have Changing Faces join us for the Camouflage session. One of our aims is to encourage research and therefore we are calling for abstracts on skin of colour. The entry criteria can be found here.
We have also included a brief survey as part of the registration process to help assess the efficacy of our courses.
There have been several new developments with SOCT UK. Firstly, we have changed our name to ‘Skin of Colour Training UK’, updated our logo, and more importantly launched our very own website: https://www.soctuk.org/home.
The SOCTUK website aims to provide more ways to interact with us and help you play your part in ensuring skin of colour is embedded within every day dermatological care.
Many thanks to Sanofi who has always been a strong supporter of SOCTUK as well as returning sponsors, Eucerin and La Roche Posay. AbbVie have kindly come alongside us this year to support teaching activities.
The committee has worked hard to deliver another outstanding meeting and we look forward to seeing you so please come along and say hello.
