Dr Farah Mahmood completed her medical degree at the University of Warwick. She additionally has a first-class honours degree from the University of Leicester in Biological Sciences. She is currently a Consultant Dermatologist in the West Midlands.
She successfully completed her Dermatology registrar training in the East Midlands in 2023. She has also worked in Dundee where she developed a subspeciality interest in photodermatology. She has a keen interest in medical dermatology, skin of colour and skin cancer.
She has taught nationally on skin of colour for the Royal College of General Practitioners. She has presented nationally on sarcoidosis, genital dermatology and paediatric dermatology and has published on acne and immunobullous disease.
She has co-authored two book chapters on drug-induced pemphigus and alitretinoin showcasing her interest in medical pharmacology. She is married to a GP and has two young daughters and loves learning languages and baking in her spare time.
