Modupe (Bunmi) is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) and a non-medical Prescriber in Medical Dermatology. She has over 2 decades experience working in dermatology. Throughout her career; she has developed and gained significant experience that has enabled her to work in a variety of settings; supporting inpatients, working previously as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) supporting medical dermatology patients and, in the community, running nurse led clinics for systemics and phototherapy.
She is currently working as an ANP in a large teaching hospital and her role currently supports patients attending day centre and provides clinical support in the Nurse-led clinic. She has always been actively involved in teaching and has had the opportunity to present at the BDNG on multiple occasions, she has presented at the London dermatology doctor in training and taught on the Dermatology MSc for clinicians around the world as well as inhouse regular teaching sessions.
She is a passionate educator who has taught in many forums. She contributes to the development of her colleagues nationally and locally respectively. Nationally, she has presented at the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) annual conference and subgroup meetings. She is currently the BDNG subgroup chair for skin of colour (SoC) and the chair for the Dermatology Nursing Grand round (DNGR) within her current NHS trust.
